Children at the Guam Memorial Hospital were treated to a surprise visit on Valentines from Clifford The Big Red Dog Friday, February 14th. Each child received a special Valentine gift from the friend Clifford The Big Red Dog.
Clifford, the star of his own PBS show is an advocate for educational television and wants to let everyone know that PBS Guam is a viable option for their children’s entertainment.
The visit was made possible by the staff and management of The Guam Educational Telecommunications Corporation better known as PBS Guam.
Ina Carillo, General Manager of PBS Guam stated, “Not only does PBS Guam broadcast the best quality and most educational programs on television for kids; we also move beyond the family living room or tablet to engage and inspire children to be ready and eager to learn.” Carillo also mentioned.
Michelle Ambunan, Registered Head Nurse of the Guam Memorial Hospital stated, “Clifford visiting and spreading love to our Pediatric patients is refreshing to the unit. The joy Clifford the Big Red Dog and PBS Guam brings is much appreciated.”
