PBS BRINGS ON AWARD-WINNING PRODUCER DON MUNA

The Guam Educational Telecommunications Corporation better known as PBS Guam welcomes Don Muna as its producer.  Don Muna, an award-winning producer, writer and director who produced and directed such work as Shiro’s Head (2008), Talent Town (2014) and Banner Bandits (2017).  Don is a ground-breaking pioneer of independent film in the Western Pacific and of the independent cinema movement on Guam. In 2011, together with his brother Kelly Muna, founded the Guam International Film Festival (GIFF) which fosters the art of cultural understanding through the art of filmmaking.  He is also the co-founder of the University of Guam Film Festival.

Don Muna states, “For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my life’s work to utilizing media for public service and community outreach. Now that I’ve been given this opportunity to be a part of PBS Guam, I’m eager to propel our success by producing culturally focused, educational content that aims to make a positive impact on our island’s diverse communities.”
